Bill Burg, Founder of Certified RELO™, explains what the designation means for homebuyers, sellers, and anyone who wants to know their professional is truly on their side.
Buying or selling a home is the largest financial decision most people ever make. Certified RELO™ professionals have been assessed, verified, and committed to a standard that exists for one reason — to protect you.
What the Mark Means
Anyone can get a real estate or mortgage license. Not everyone earns the Certified RELO™ mark. Professionals who carry this designation have gone through a rigorous assessment, signed a Code of Ethics, and must actively maintain their status every year to keep the mark.
Not a test you memorize. An assessment of how they perform under real transaction pressure — timelines, risk identification, and client communication.
Every Certified RELO™ professional has signed a written code of ethics. Violations result in suspension or permanent revocation of their designation.
The mark isn't earned once and kept forever. Annual renewal and continuing education is required to maintain Active status in the registry.
You don't have to take anyone's word for it. Search the live registry and see their status — Active, Expired, or Inactive — in seconds.
What to Expect
This is the standard every designee is assessed on and held to. These aren't promises — they're requirements.
Find a Professional
The Certified RELO™ Registry is a live, public record of every active designee. Status can be Active, Expired, or Inactive — and you have the right to know which one before you sign a buyer's agreement or begin a loan application.
The registry also shows the professional's designation track — whether they're a Certified RELO™ Realtor or a Certified RELO Partner™ Loan Officer — so you know exactly what standard applies to them.
Pro tip: If a professional claims to be Certified RELO™ but doesn't appear in the registry with Active status — that claim is unverified. The registry is the only source of truth.
Before you buy. Before you sell. Before you sign. Verify your professional carries the Certified RELO™ mark — and that their status is Active right now.
